We attended a 1st Birthday party for a little friend today. Among the gifts, cupcakes, balloons and smiles, there was also a slideshow on the family TV of family photos over the last year. It was a very nice touch, and I loved watching the beautiful girl blossom from a baby into a toddler.
It also reminded me of our slideshow. There were days in the NICU when I begged Jeff to not take pictures. I’m very glad that I have them now. But, at the time, I didn’t want to remember those moments. My dear friend, Aileen, told me I would want the pictures later. She was right. I’m glad we have them now, because I’m able to look back at that time and see how far she has come.
