SpecialCare

Standard

When given the diagnosis of Hydrocephalus in-utero, we weren’t sure what to do with Parker in regards to day-care. We knew I would continue to work, but we didn’t think the daycare that Jordan went to would be able to take care of a child with special medical needs. A friend told me about Special Care (www.specialcareinc.org). We soon learned that it is where a dear friend also chose to send their daughter, who happended to have Turner Syndrome.

We feel so blessed to have an amazing place that takes such great care of our daughter. In fact, my best friend sends her daughter (who is “typical”) to Special Care, because they are awesome.

Here are a few videos and if you look, you may catch a glimpse of our little pumpkin…

Slide Shows

Standard

We attended a 1st Birthday party for a little friend today. Among the gifts, cupcakes, balloons and smiles, there was also a slideshow on the family TV of family photos over the last year. It was a very nice touch, and I loved watching the beautiful girl blossom from a baby into a toddler.

It also reminded me of our slideshow. There were days in the NICU when I begged Jeff to not take pictures. I’m very glad that I have them now. But, at the time, I didn’t want to remember those moments. My dear friend, Aileen, told me I would want the pictures later. She was right. I’m glad we have them now, because I’m able to look back at that time and see how far she has come.
